I-80 traffic released after spinouts temporarily held traffic | Maps and Updates – ABC10.com KXTV

CALIFORNIA, USA — Drivers reportedly spinning out on whitened mountain passes as Northern California absorbed the impacts of a winter storm.
The storm is expected to last days before moving out, but another storm is on the way. Forecasters warned people in mountainous areas to prepare for days of snowfall and possible road closures.

Traffic has been released on I-80 eastbound after spinouts temporarily held traffic Castle Peak. Chain controls remain in effect.

Caltrans said eastbound traffic is being held at Castle Peak due to spinouts on the downgrade. There’s no estimated time for opening at this time.
A portion of US-50 was temporarily closed because of avalanche control, but has reopened from Meyers to Echo Summit as of 9:33 a.m.
I-80 was temporarily closed but reopened to both directions as of 7:15 a.m. Chain controls are in place.
State Route 267 is closed from Northstar to SR-28 because of severe weather, with no estimated time of re-opening.  
El Dorado Transit announced its The Sacramento/South Lake Tahoe Connecting bus is not running on Tuesday because of the recent weather conditions.
Flooding on State Route 99 north of West Stockton Boulevard closed lane one on the highway, according to Caltrans.
Reports of traffic lights out at State Route 49 near I-80.
Trade Center Drive near Sunrise Boulevard flooded, and drivers are advised to take Folsom Boulevard to avoid getting wet.
An accident on State Route 99 North at Eight Mile Road has traffic building up on the stretch of highway.
Near the Sacramento International Airport, debris on the Garden Hwy near Elkhorn Road is slowing down traffic in the area.
