JACKSON, Wyo. — On Tuesday, Jan. 4, One 22’s Jackson Cupboard experienced significant flooding after a pipe burst on the upper floor of the building.
The building, located on 245 North Glenwood St serves as a community food pantry operated by One22 Resource Center.
Due to the flooding, One22 cannot occupy the space or receive its regularly scheduled deliveries at the Glenwood location.
In the meantime, the Satellite Cupboard located at the Teton County/Jackson Recreation Center will have increased availability of no-cost groceries. This location is always open and available during Rec Center hours. Hole Food Rescue will temporarily stock the Satellite Cupboard location.
Currently, One22 cannot accept in-kind food donations.
One22’s North Glenwood location also serves as an important meeting place with their clients. Thanks to space provided at the Rec Center, One22 will shift its client meeting space to the Rec Center’s Multipurpose Room. Starting Thursday, Jan. 6, One22 staff will greet community members for drop-in support. Hours for drop-in support will be Monday-Friday starting at 10 a.m.
“We are actively looking for a space that might fit our needs temporarily in the community and hope anyone with leads will reach out to us,” said Sharel Lund, executive director at One22 Resource Center. “Our community is so generous, from our nonprofit partners to the Rec Center and of course our many volunteers; we hope to return to offering all of our services soon.”
