Fathom Tanks was born out of the necessity to train first responders for floods and swift water incidents. Of all flood-related deaths, one third are first responders. Rising sea levels and changing rain patterns mean that deaths and accidents will continue unless emergency personnel are better trained.

Fathom Tank designer Barton Bollfrass is a former Navy EOD Diver who worked in the entertainment industry for more than a decade after military service. He saw a global opportunity to change water training practices by combining realistic movie set design with military-style training. The result is a hyper-realistic, safer, more repeatable training experience.
