Yesterday we reported that the state of Florida, which is home to many theme parks and vacation destinations including Walt Disney World, reported record-breaking new COVID case numbers for Christmas Day.
The new surge COVID-19 Omicron variant is causing some concerns during the busiest travel week of the year, but it doesn’t look like people are canceling their vacations or plans as Walt Disney World Guests still packed in on Main Street, U.S.A. for the Disney Enchantment fireworks on the evening of Sunday, December 26.

Despite the new Omicron surge, many families kept their plans and are visiting Walt Disney World for the holidays. On December 26, the day after Christmas, Guests packed into Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom eager to see Disney’s new fireworks show, Disney Enchantment, which debuted on October 1, 2021 for Disney World’s 50th anniversary.
Twitter user ThrillGeek was inside Magic Kingdom on December 26 and captured the crowd levels in a photo, which they captioned with:

Since the Guests are outside, there is no requirement for them to be wearing a proper facial covering (Guests only have to wear a face mask while indoors at Walt Disney World).
If you have plans to visit Walt Disney World in the near future, make sure you familiarize yourself with the current rules and regulations at the theme parks. Walt Disney World’s current safety rules can be found here.
